Hills, Hills, Snow, Hills

Last Saturday, I went on a long run with Amy.  Amy has a marathon coming up in the spring where there are very large hills.  I checked out the course and elevation map and it makes "The Monkey" seems sort of easy.  (In case you don't know what "The Monkey" is, check out the Harpeth Hills Flying Monkey Marathon).  Anyways, I knew that Amy needed some training on hills so I suggested the route I trained on a lot when I was training for The Monkey.

The route was going to be 2 loops of a 6.5 mile road around some country roads.  If we wanted to add more miles, I could easily add more and we did end up adding 2 to make a full 15 miles.  It had snowed 2 days before (the same storm that pummelled Boston) and left some really cool snow on the trees.  One part of the course happen to be full of snow covered trees and was a beautiful sight to see.  The road was clear enough to handle the hills and after the run, we made sure to take a few pictures of the trees.

Keep on Running!!!
